As far as I’m concerned, there’s no one in the world is worth crying for because the only one that’s worth your tears would never make you cry.

If he loves you truly, I think he will love you by his heart and he doesn’t want you to be hurt so he doesn't want to see your tears on your pale face. Therefore, he tries his best to avoid making you cry. Whether he makes you cry or others make you cry, I think he feels sad and unhappy.
